Career Coaching
A career could be described as “The general course or progression of one's working life”.
Career coaching offers guidance to most aspects of one’s working life and especially focuses on the choices that determine the course of the career. Of course, these choices are very much connected to one’s personality and life situation and therefore, this type of coaching may also touch upon other areas of life.
Also see: Coaching General.
Next to the approaches that are also applied in life coaching, in career coaching, there is special attention for the qualities, competencies, and behavior that are related to the current job or desired area of work. Examination of drives, passions, past (work) experiences in combination with your life situation will help to create a clearer image of where you want to go and how to get there!
Examples for career coaching topics:
- I’m at a crossroad in my life and I need some support to work towards making the right choice
- How can I find more balance between work and private life?
- How can I better develop my talents?
- How can I find the job that gives me the satisfaction for which I’m looking?
Depending on the topic, a coaching process will consist of 6 to 10 sessions of 1 to 1.5 hours each.
